ROYAL COLLECTIONS MUSEUM

Situated within the complex of the Royal Palace in Madrid, Spain, this building has a floor space of more than 45,000 square meters , of which 5,000 metres is used as exhibition space. The architectural firm Mansilla + Tuñon, headed by Emilio Tuñon and Luis Moreno Mansilla, designed the project and introduced various technical specifications, such as the use of hollowed out stone (grey granite) re-filled with concrete. Opening is scheduled for 2016.
